| An innovative redesign solution was developed that provided all required vehicle clearances, yet allowed the City of Calgary to substantially lower the approach grades and bridge pier heights. The City realized a substantial reduction in total project costs and environmental impact. The inverted trapezoidal box girder was unique, and provided the support for the suspended pedestrian bridge below. | |||
